Totally zapped

The 20-year old says, "When I heard the part, I was zapped but hooked. I am a normal heterosexual and am dating a girl. I had to play a character who was made to wear girl's clothes as a child, and who is so screwed in the head that he can't tell the difference between the heart and the bed. I was worried about what my parents would say, but they were fully supportive."

Maradona's dad was a sports manager and named himafter the footballer. "I was born in 1986 when the football World Cup was on. So Maradona, I became."

About the nude scene Maradona says, "I was briefed that I'd have to be completely naked so many times by the director and had gone through it so many times in my head that by the time we filmed it, it felt I was doing something quite familiar."

Lilette is with Maradona in the nude sequence. Bipasha is not. As for the supposed lip- lock, Maradona sighs, "There is no liplock. A drunken man in the film forces a kiss on me and I'm repulsed. How will audiences react to such an unusual part and film? It's all about the presentation. No sleaze, thank you."

Ameesha Patel Celebrates maternal granny's b'day

meesha Patel celebrated her grandmother Sushila Patel Gokhale's 91st birthday (June 26) in Pune by hosting a lavish party for her. With a little help...

For one month, Ameesha planned the party with her close friend Usha Kakade, "Usha belongs to one of Pune's biggest builder families and she arranged for the caterers and helped Ameesha plan the party right down to the menu and the flower arrangements. While Ameesha was in Mumbai completing her work commitments, Usha made sure everything was readied for the big day.

Ameesha even had a professional photographer capture the party. When Sushila was wheeled in to cut her cake and meet her guests, she had tears in her eyes." It was a crowd of 30 with Ameesha's friends from Mumbai, her granny's friends and relatives with their children and her doctors.

The 5 kg fresh fruit sponge cake was specially ordered in the shape of 91. The source adds, "The menu was varied sea food, different types of fish, kaali dal, butter chicken, paneer masala, appams and kulfis for dessert. Sushila loves flowers, so the rooms were decorated with her favourite flowers like roses, lilies, marigolds, orchids, chrysanthemums and birds of paradise."

Much to her naani's disappointment, the actress had to return to Mumbai for her dance rehearsals but is going back today to spend some time with her." Ameesha says, "I don't shoot or work during my grandmother's birthday. I feel everything will come again but for me to spend time with my naani is a blessing and miracle for me."

Tabu rejects offer from a US University to be a guest lecturer

She's a recluse when it comes to signing movies. However, Tabu also doesn't seem to care much when it comes to getting offers for being a guest lecturer.
A source reveals, "Tabu was made the offer a few weeks back. She was invited as a part of the university's curriculum on filmmaking.

Tabu contemplated for a few days and even spoke to a few friends. However, she decided not to be part of the plan."

The reason for Tabu rejecting the offer is supposed to be the fact that she isn't really good with speaking at public events.

"She developed cold feet thinking what kind of questions the students would ask her.

Since she's a private person and mostly an introvert, Tabu politely declined the offer."

The latest stills from the shoot of Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan which is being shot in the US appear to be that of a wedding sequence.

While Shah Rukh is in a bow-tie, Kajol in a red sequined sari is seen with henna on her hands. The cast also includes Navneet Nishan, better known as Tara of the small screen.

Lara Dutta and Dino Morea Call it quits

Even before they came out with their relationship, Lara Dutta and Dino Morea have decided to move their separate ways.Going through the grind

Dino doesn't deny his misfortune in matters of the heart. "I'm sure someone up there is about to bring me some awesome luck in love. I'm just being taken through the grind, I guess."

However, Lara, always guarded and discreet about her love life, has another story to tell. "I'm completely single. I am not seeing any man right now, whether he's married, divorced, widowed or single."

Lara says, "When I was dating Kelly Dorje, I was in a relationship with him for many, many years from the age of 21. When I stepped into the film industry, I felt it was demeaning to pretend Kelly didn't exist in my life. I'm not that kind of a person."

Lara says, "Once that relationship came to a natural end, I certainly didn't move from Person A (Kelly) to Person B (Dino). No one can do that. I'm at a stage in my life where I don't need or want frivolous relationships. I don't believe in casual dating.

Like any girl, I want to find a man whom I can settle down with. I had someone very lovely in my life. After Kelly, I don't need to get into a relationship just to fill a vacuum in my life. I have a great support system around me, a lovely family and friends. I'm not looking at getting into a relationship to pass time."

So why has Lara been quiet about her relationship with Dino until now?

In no committed relationship

Sighs the actress, "If there was really something to talk about, I would have. If I'm seeing someone, I'd give due respect to that relationship by not hiding it. That doesn't mean every second person I go out to dinner with or am seen with at a function, is the love of my life."

So where does that leave Dino? "There are friendships, and beyond that there's a relationship. I'm saying this very clearly. I'm in no committed relationship with anybody right now. The day I do have another boyfriend, I'll let the world know."

What about Kelly accusing Dino of backstabbing? Sighs Lara, "We spent nine years together and know each other only too well. We also knew there was absolutely nothing left between us. Some people move away quickly. Others take longer to move away from a dead relationship. It's not my place to say why he said what he did. Kelly and I know what the truth is and nothing else matters."

Is Katrina choosing Family over Salman?

After last year's bad experience, Katrina Kaif has decided to celebrate her birthday with her family in London. The actress is looking forward to meeting her family, but didn't reveal whether beau Salman Khan will be with her or not.

Katrina will turn 25 on July 16 and this time the actress, who is said to be under a lot of external and internal pressure, is determined to make her birthday a happy, stress-free and comfortable occasion.

Katrina will take off for a rare full-family reunion in London this July, to coincide with her birthday. She doesn't confirm the birthday, but admits that she's planning a holiday with family in July.

"I've been burning the midnight oil to make myself free for my family. I'm exhausted and stressed. And I can't wait to go home. Though I've met parts of my family on every visit home all of us eight siblings have not been together in nine years... can you believe it! I really want to do this," Katrina, who has earned rave reviews for her performance in just released "New York", told IANS.

Katrina is the middle sister among the seven girls of the Kaif family. She has always been the apple of the eye and it was very traumatic for her to wrench herself away from the family cocoon in London and make a career on her own in Mumbai.

According to close friends, Katrina was petrified of the isolation here. That's why when Salman Khan's family took her in their fold, she was indebted to them.

Last year Salman created a major embarrassment for her by picking up a fight with Shah Rukh Khan during her birthday party.

After the incident, is Katrina trying hard to gently move away from her adopted family?

"I'm just so looking forward to being with all my sisters. My brother is also taking the time off to be in London for the first time in years with all of us sisters. I've been with some of my siblings in London. But never all. It's not holiday for me. It's a necessity. And nothing can stop from making it happen," she said.

The actress' popularity soared after the success of "Namastey London" and "Singh Is Kinng".

Lara Dutta all set to Say cheese

Bollywood beauty Lara Dutta is set to do what American actress-singer Jessica Simpson does - endorse the Indian adaptation of popular food chain Pizza Hut's campaign for its new dish called Cheesy Bites.

Lara will don a red dress teamed with red boots just as Simpson did in a series of hugely successful Cheesy Bites commercials in the US.

"The Cheesy Bites ad is totally fun just like the pizza where you can twist, pull and pop, cheese filled bites into your mouth. I am aware of the success that the campaign got in the US and I hope it is even more successful here in India," said Lara.

Cheesy Bites is a unique pizza with 22 cheese-filled bites that form the pull-apart crust.

In the US, these were made popular by Simpson, who played a sassy waitress in the TV commercial. The Indian advertisement will have Lara in the same avatar.

Cheesy Bites is already available in the Pizza Hut outlets, but the TV commercial will go on air later this week.

After walking the red carpet with Bollywood actress-singer Sophie Chaudhary at the recent IIFA Awards in Macau, Peter Andre vehemently fobbed off rumours that he was dating Sophie.

"I know looking at my pictures with Sophie Chaudhary at the red carpet at the recent award function, people jumped to the conclusion that I was dating her. But it is not true! I was honoured to be her company. But I hardly know her at all," Peter said.

Peter also said that he loved Katie, his wife, even though their marriage has broken down.

Echoing Peter's sentiments Sophie said, "Peter was talking about his kids all the time. He said how much he loved them. he fondly recalled about Katie too."

Sophie said Peter was sweet and a thorough gentleman. "We spoke about music, London, Bollywood and his new album. However much contemporary I appear on screen but I am an Indian girl at heart. I will never date a married man."

Dilip Kumar Admitted to Lilavati Hospital

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai due to malaria. Dilip Kumar was suffering from high fever for couple of days and after proper investigation it was found that he has been suffering from malaria.

A source close to the family said, “Since the fever was not subsiding, the family decided to admit him to hospital so that proper investigations can be conducted”.

Dr Parker who is treating Dilip Kumar said that he was brought to hospital with high fever and respiratory disease but his condition has improved now.

Saira Banu, wife of Dilip Kumar said, “Dilip saab was admitted to Lilavati for medical tests as he was running high fever and it looks like he has got malaria. However, his fever has come down and he will soon be in his usual good spirits. We hope to return home in a couple of days”.

Imran and Sonam In I Don’t Believe in love Stories

Recently Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor were seen passionate on the Filmfare cover and now they are starring in Karan Johar’s next “I Don’t Believe In Love Stories“.

The film will be directed by Punit Malhotra, nephew of designer Manish Malhotra. He has assisted Karan in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Ironically, contrary to what the name suggests, the movie is a love story and with this kind of a title, with Imran and Sonam, a new director, it will definitely a movie to watch out for.

Imran and Sonam always wanted to do something special together and during the Filmfare cover shoot, they agreed that this was the ultimate. Now seeing them star in the film together keeps us wondering if they still would think the same.
