Rihanna and Katy Perry relaxed on a boat April 22, 2009 in Rihanna's hometown Barbados. Rihanna wore a short black sequined dress while Perry wore a high-waisted floral bikini. Perry has spoken about her friendship with Rihanna, calling her "a cool chick" in an interview with MTV News. "We're friends and we're both kind of on this crazy rollercoaster, and ... it's nice to have good girlfriends," Perry told MTV. Perry broke up with Gym Class Heroes singer Travis McCoy at the end of 2008. Rihanna has been in the limelight because of domestic abuse allegations against her then boyfriend, singer Chris Brown. Of her bout with the abuse allegations, Perry said of Rihanna, "Her personal life has probably already been blown ... I'm sure she probably wants a break."
