PRERNA VIRENDER TO PLAY DHOL
It has been a long wait for Prerna Virender for her next release since she debuted in Bhagam Bhag in December last year alongside Govinda and Akshay Kumar. Her next movie, which will very much decide her chances in Bollywood is Dhol. The Priyadarshan directed Dhol is slated for a September release and Prerna could not be happier. "My song is already playing yet I am very happy about the film getting released soon" she said. This girl certainly seems to be Priyadarshan's favorite as she has already worked with the filmmaker in two other films as well. "I think Priyan Sir is one of the finest directors and I have been lucky to work with him so early in my career", the actress gratefully says. “Dhol is a complete comedy package and stars Payal Rohatgi, Tushar Kapoor and Kunal Khemu, besides Prerna. The movie ,based on real life comedy situations,guarantees to tickle our funny bones. Nanhe Jaisalmer is yet another film of hers which will be releasing immediately after Dhol.

JODHAA AKBAR TO RELEASE IN JANUARY
Ashutosh Gowariker's much awaited epic romance Jodhaa Akbar is slated for a worldwide release on January 25, 2008. The change of release date is due to the fact that Jodhaa Akbar has an extremely demanding post-production schedule. Jodhaa Akbar is a 16th century story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between the greatest Mughal emperor that ruled Hindustan, Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, and the fiery young Rajput princess, Jodhaa. With Hrithik Roshan as Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodhaa, the film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions.With Jodhaa Akbar, Poonam Sinha, the pretty actress-wife of Shatrughan Sinha is staging a come back in films after thirty years.

SADHIKKA TURNS A BOND
Sadhikka Radhawa has just returned from the shooting of film Rocky N Rony in Bangkok . Sadhikka plays an Indian spy Jenny. She is sent to Bankgok by the Indian Government to catch Gulshan Grover. In this Rajeev Ruia directed film, she resorts to every tricks till now we have seen being used by James Bond. Sadhikka says, "Every actor wants to do different roles. This role gave me an opportunity to do a lot of actions and something I have not done before. This role was very challenging and I am very happy that I have justified director's and producer's decision of giving this role". Let's see whether this Indian James Bond will be able to make her way into the hearts of the Indian audience. Incidentally, Sadhikka Randhawa who had started her career with producer- director Sawan Kumar Tak's Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya is the brightest star of Bhojpuri world. The latest is that legendary actor Shammi Kapoor's son is planning to make his directorial debut with a film inspired by the dusky beauty's Big Brother experience. Titled Baltidevi: Queen of Southhall, the musical to be directed by actor Aditya Raj Kapoor, or Mickey, as he is fondly called, is about the rags-to-riches journey of a poor girl in Southhall. "The entire Shilpa Shetty episode of winning the Big Brother contest inspired me to write this story," says the upcoming director. For Shilpa it's almost like acquiring the living legend status. After all it's a big honour to have a member of the acclaimed Kapoor family choose 'the important episode' in her life as the subject of his debut film. SAMBAWANA RELEASES MUSIC ALBUM Chahte Hain Sanam
The music albumChahte Hain Sanam was released at a party held on September 12, at Renaisance Club, Bombay where chief guest Sambhawana Seth alongwith Saira Khan (leading lady of film Osama) released the album.The album has been produced by Noor Mohammad who has also written the lyrics of all the songs Brijesh Shah is the music director of the album and it has songs by Vinod Rathod, Mohammad Salamat,Pamela Jain,Khushbu Jain,Ganesh and Javed Ali. Two video albums made to promote the album were also screened on the ocassion and the song Kya khoob.. rendered by Khushbu Jain was liked by the guests present at the event.

KUNAL KHEMU THREAT TO KARAN JOHAR?

SHILPA THE DON ALL SET FOR RELEASE
The makers of the 2005 superhit Kannada film Auto Shankar are all set to release a dubbed Hindi version called Shilpa the Big Don without Shilpa's knowledge. Shilpa play s a 'lady don' in the film, an ode to Gabbar Singh. Along with Shilpa, the Kannada blockbuster directed by D. Rajendar Babu, stars South superstar Upendra along with actresses Radhika and Sudharani. The movie was filmed at a variety of locations including Austria, Finland, the Bangalore Palace and the Mysore Lamps Factory. It is the story of an auto rickshaw driver called Shankar, belonging to the middle class section of the society. Shilpa, who plays a money-lender and a lady don, is portrayed as a boorish character. She is unscrupulous in recovering loans given to the poor and designs crude methods to recover money. But in the end, she learns a lesson that reforms her attitude. She makes amends and Shankar embraces her as the two fall in love. "Shilpa's role in the film earned her the name 'The new Gabbar Singh' in the South," says her spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar. The movie also sparked off a controversy with regard to a sensuous photograph from it. A Madurai-based lawyer had filed an obscenity case against Shetty, calling the photo vulgar.

VATSAL SHETH IS BACK IN BOLLYWOOD
Vatsal Sheth is excited about the feedback to his small cameo role in Samir Karnik’s Nanhe Jaisalmer in which he is playing the flash forward and back of the role of Nanhe, as the adult. Says Vatsal, “I am fortunate to have been a part of a project like Nanhe Jaislmer because it is very important as far as I am concerned. I lied low after the release of my first film Tarzan The Wonder Car, in which Ayesha Takia was my leading lady. It was her first film too. I have no regrets that I made my debut with that film because though it flopped, my performance in it was appreciated and when it was telecast, the channel had the maximum TRPs. I decided not to sign any and every film I was offered because one wrong film and I could have been in deeper shit. After Nanhe Jaisalmwer, you will see me in films like Mera Bharat Mahaan also directed by Samir Karnik and Hostel in which my heroine is Tulip Joshi. Hostel directed by Manish Gupta who had written Ramgopal Varma’s Sarkar is about the menace of ragging in college campuses.
